Aid Stations

Each race in the Series will have strategically placed aid stations. Expect two to three aid stations in all races and four to five aid stations in the Half Marathon. Aid stations will be well-stocked with water and gatorade as well as refuel snacks from our sponsor and friends at Honey Stinger.

Please be conscious of the environment and dispose of paper cups and any litter in the garbage receptacle at the aid station. Aid stations will be manned by staff and volunteers of the Vail Recreation District and are happy to answer any questions.

Please do not litter. Any participant caught littering will be disqualified.

Mileage Markers and Course Directions

Thanks to our partnership with Garmin, all courses are documented using the latest GPS technology from Garmin. Course maps can be viewed on our website prior to arriving on race day.

The courses are well-marked and signed with mileage markers every mile. Course arrows and directions are bold and are posted at every intersection. We are proud to state that a participant in our series has not challenged the results due to course confusion, getting lost or misdirected in the 19 years of the series.

Please note: GPS data is different from one device to another. If you are comfortable with your devices accuracy, please default to your own devices' mileage when participating in our races.

Post-Race Info

Now that the hard part is over, it's time to enjoy and celebrate victory. Each race finish area will be stocked with racer refuel; nutrients to help you recover from your efforts. Water and Gatorade will also be supplied. And, don't forget to grab your athlete bag stuffed with sponsor coupons, special gifts and more snacks. You'll need that athlete bag to carry your racer t-shirt. Each finisher will receive a tech t-shirt with a unique logo for each race.

The finish area will also be the site of our awards ceremony. We will award the top three finishers in each of the seven age groups for male and female divisions. If you raced in the 5K, we will award the top three amateur, open and masters in each of the male and female divisions.

We're not done yet... every registered racer will also be entered into our post-race raffle. Expect items from our long list of sponsors to be raffled off after every race. We have so much to give away at our post-race celebration you may just need another bag.
