Rainbow Park is the community's largest park, with 7 acres of outdoor entertainment for everyone in the family.
Rainbow Park contains a nationally recognized skateboard park, a multi-purpose field, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, 4 sand volleyball courts, a large children's playground, a smaller toddler playground, 4 picnic shelters, and public restrooms. Its bowl-shape field, which lies slightly below the rest of the park, also serves as an amphitheater for spectator events and community festivals.
A popular park feature is a paved pathway that encircles the park. Three laps equal one mile. The path is perfect for adult fitness, parents with strollers, youngsters with tricycles and bicycles, or a relaxing stroll with a dog on leash.
Parents of young children will appreciate the castle-themed tot lot specifically for kiddos ages 5 and under, and an additional picnic shelter with year-round restrooms.
Rainbow Park is adjacent to the Silverthorne Recreation Center at 430 Rainbow Drive. Parking is available in the front and back Recreation Center lots and in a smaller parking area next to the skateboard park.
